Spring Trends for 2012

It is still quite cold in Ottawa, but there are signs that the warmer weather is approaching. As such, here are some of the trends that are hot this spring. Hope you all agree. 

Beige - YSL, Bottega Veneta,  Carlos Campos

Bold Prints - Burberry Prorsum, Prada, Jean Paul Gaultier

Bright Colours -Canali, Acne, Mugler

Checker Pattern - Louis Vuitton, McQueen, Costume National 

Short Shorts - Lanvin, Bally, YSL,

Yellow - Perry Ellis, Lanvin, Cavali

Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2012

To be honest, I wasn't really impressed with some of the collections for NYC fashion week this season. However, some designers really did stand out for me. Particularly, Carlos Campos.

His menswear collection for spring/summer 2012 was timeless. First, the colour palette really was refreshing. His colour blocking was also nice to see, I especially loved the combination of the salmon pinks with navy blue, it really made a nice statement. Also, in looking at his tailoring, his shirt and pants looked both comfortable but fitted.

Overall, his collection was well put together. His attention to detail was essential to his collection and I really do look forward to his future creations.
